Hairless wonder

Hey all, I know its been a while since I've posted. I am in the second week of my new chemotherapy and its going okay. The first cycle worked well and I have much smaller "bumps" and less pain. So yah, to this protocol. The complications... from the first cycle landed me back in the hospital with fevers and low blood counts but we're hoping to avoid that this time around. No more hospital stays then necessary.

So the big news right now is that my hair is gone. It started to fall out with gusto and I asked Anita to just shave my head. Losing your hair is no fun. Its down right gross really when it starts coming out by the hand fulls, literally. So now the story is skull caps. Our dear friend Peter sent out an email suggesting that people pick me out various skull caps to keep my head decorated. I'm waiting with bated breath for them to start to arrive. I know ya'll are quite adventurous and I'm wondering what I'll be wearing in the near future.

Anita took this picture of me with some temporary hair and I though I would share. So now you see why the skull caps are needed. Thank you to all in advance for placing your orders. I am really excited about the whole thing.

So finally in this short post I ask one question.... Why no comments. I want comments people. I love the comments and it makes it more fun to post after I get to read your comments to my posts. So please, please, please leave me a comment!

Thanks to all for all the well wishes and prayers. I really do appreciate them!
Tisha

J. and I loved the pic! You'll soon have a slew of much better headwear, for sure!

Only two more days! You can do it! I hear you are keeping yourself busy there, that's good!

omg. omg. I. Love. That. Photo. It think it should be your profile photo of the blog. I'm sure the skullcaps will be lots more comfortable, though. Less sweaty for sure.

Hang in there, Tishy! It'll be over soon and you'll have a two week break and I'll be looking forward to some online scrabble!

I have been very frustrated not being able to do much for you but I found something...On May 10th I will host a benefit in your honor. It will be held at Marinelli's Dinner Club in Burlington and I will be contacting everybody I can think of to sell tickets on your behalf. I will up date the info as I get it so that I can keep your blog readers informed. If anybody has any questions please feel free to contact me via email (kikizoo@comcast.net)
or phone (860)585-5367
ok Kiddo keep your chin up and you will be kicking back in your comfy house in no time.

Love ya lots

Hi Tish,
So happy that things are going better for you this time around! I just know you'll be in great shape to great the Easter bunny...but lose the green hair first! You might scare him to death!! I'm sure you'll find a great new skullcap waiting at home for you to be your "Easter Bonnet" this year! And hair is over-rated anyway!
Love and prayers,
dianne and the "kitty herd"

Hey Tish,

I love the new do! Next I want to see you with a variety of small animals curled up asleep on your head. I think you could probably get a ferret to make a decent "live wig", don't you think? Maybe a hedgehog or two...I'm so happy this second round of chemo seems to be doing the job it's meant to do. Hang in there, babe.

Love Jos

Hi tish, Just me again told you I would start to annoy you with comments. I now understand why you call your self a test dummy...did we grow-up in the same family?? I was a torment dummy though, my brothers were mean. Iam sure we could swap some interesting stories. Take care tish, the battle may be uphil, but you have your loved ones that can help you up the hill or at least clemmie can be nipping at your heels :)
